?ub!!c Hearing on MSTST Co. Petition Postponed Chairman Hal S. Eennett of the Utah Public Service commission announced recently it would be 60 to 90 days before a public hearing would be held on Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph Co.'s petition pe-tition for a review of its financial situation. Bennett said a Salt Lake City accounting firm had been retained to check on exhibits presented by MST&T and request other ezhibits if needed. Scheduling of the hearing hear-ing will await completion of the work by the accounting firm, he said. Ths telephone company requested request-ed a rate increase on the grounds .t recently granted a large wage :"icr?ase and that other costs of 'oing business in Utah had risen rharply. Bennett pointed out that MST&T was granted a rate increase only wo years ago which added $1,678,-352 $1,678,-352 a year to its income.
