Show MIA Dance Festival Announced For Two Evenings, May 1, 2 at High School Gym The annual Kolob Stake Gold and Green festival is being planned for Friday and Saturday, May 1 and 2, in the high school gymnasium, beginning at . 8 o'clock. Tom and Dolly Smith have again planned a spectacular event and are being assisted in teaching the dances by the ward dance directors. The script is being be-ing prepared by Mrs. W. L. Schreiner. "Wheels of Progress" is being employed as the theme of the festival fes-tival and in place of having queens, the boys and girls who have made the achievements in their various classes, will be honored. Among these are the Honor Boos, MIA Joys, Silver and Golden Gleaners, Scouts and Explorers, all who have gained the Deseret Recognition, Recogni-tion, Junior M Men who have rated the Credit Recognition and the Master M Men. More than 40 boys and girls will participate and the public is invited to attend. There 'will be a small charge to defray costs of the decorations, programs, lights and other items. There will not be dancing after the festival as has been the custom cus-tom in other years. The performances perform-ances will be exactly the same both nights as the public may attend at-tend either night which is con-cenient, con-cenient, according to the officers in charge. |
