Show MONTANA-BINGHAM ORE RETURNS PROFIT Shipments of ore from the Montana-Bingham Montana-Bingham mine show excellent values, according ac-cording to smelter reports received by J: Benton Leggatt, mining engineer. Lot No. 24. the last shipment made, shows a net return, after deducting smelter charges and freight, of J2.VJ7.31 per carload, car-load, or a gross value of 551.63 per ton. The smelter report on this last shipment shows the following values: Gold, .1)35 ounces; silver. B.32 ounces; copper, 12.39 per cent; lnsolubles, 18.25 per cent; iron, 30.85 per cent. Six cars have been shipped this month up to August 12, according to ilr. Leggatt. Leg-gatt. These cars each netted the company com-pany between $2100 and $2200. The ore shipped in lot No. 24 came from No. 4 raise in the south Mayflower drift and was practically all taken out in development develop-ment work. This week stope No. 5 was started thirty-five feet south of raise No. 4. In the drift on the Fortuna vein which was crosscut two weeks ago satisfactory conditions are being encountered. Shoot's of ore similar to those encountered in the Mayflower vein, which is in the same oross-section, should i be encountered within the next fifty or sixty feet ol drifting, it is said. |
