Show PUIS MATURING FOB NEI W Brigham City Is Arranging an Excellent Program for Annual Feast. Special to The Tribune. BRIGHAM CITY, Aug. 13. The people peo-ple of Brigham City are actively engaged in preparing an elaborate program for the celebration of Peach day, Wednesday, September 3. Manager W. L. Hoist hay Just returned from Salt Lake City, where he spent two days negotiating with different dif-ferent parties to stage exhibitions here on the annual day of festivity. Arrangements were made with "Diamond" "Dia-mond" Dick Evans while Mr. Hoist was In Salt Lake to bring his wild west show here for the day. Evans is the man who has staged numerous wild west shows at Cheyenne, Wyo., and has also exhibited at the state fairgrounds in Salt Ltike. His features consist of wild horse riding, roping wild horses, bulldogging steers and numerous other events of a hair-raising nature. Negotiations also were entered into to obtain government airplanes to exhibit here for the day. Senator King and Congressman Con-gressman Welling have advi.sedMr. Hoist that every effort will he put forth to secure se-cure the exhibition for Brigham City. A baseball game between two champion clubs will be staged for a good sized purse. In addition to these attractions, others are being arranged, in order to give the visitors ample entertainment while- they are the guests of t ho city. |
