The regular monthly business meeting was held Tuesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Kent, 1070 East Ninth South street, at which time an extensive program was outlined for the coming fall. Wray Andrew is the president, and under his leadership the league is progressing. Mr. Andrew has been state president of the league fur the state of Montana. Mr. and Mrs. M. A. June have gone to Los Angeles, after visiting Mrs. June's sister, Mrs. John Dubois, on First avenue. The Maxwell-McKean corps will entertain enter-tain at the home of Mrs. E. E. Ryder at 1S8 H street this evening at 8 o'clock. Five hundred will be played. Refreshments Refresh-ments will be served. Members of other corps and their friends are invited to attend. Mrs. Walter P. Kirksey left yesterday for New York City, to be gone three or four weeks. Mrs. Kirksey will return from the east by way of Chicago, 111., where she will visit for a few days. Mrs. O. F. Peterson and daughter, Ro-maine, Ro-maine, are spending a week at Brighton, the guests of Miss Godbe. . Mrs. Percival O. Perkln3 and sister, Miss Dorothy Froiseth, and daughter, Miss Betty Perkins, have returned from a five weeks' stay in fcian Francisco and Los Angeles. Miss Sadie R. Meyers, who has been ependfng the summer with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Myers, will not return to her duties at Hull House, Chicago, next winter. Miss Meyers and her mother have just returned from Bear lake. Miss Marion Kroti of Pittsburg, Pa., will arrive this evening to spend some time with Mies Myra Cameron at the Cameron home on East South Temple street. S. ilc-Niece ilc-Niece as g-uests of .honor, Mrs. Rose Storer and "Miss Mary Storer entertained at a'reception last evening eve-ning at their home, 1185 Blaine avenue. Captain and Mrs. McNiece are visiting in the city following Captain McNiece's return from France, and they will leave soon for Berkeley' to make their home. Sunflowers decorated the living room. Snapdragons in shades of rose were used on the porch and in the dining room. The supper table on the porch had a cluny cover, with a bowl of snapdragons in the center. Punch was. served in the dining room. Assisting in receiving the guests were Mrs. R. G. McNiece and Dr. and Mrs. H. W. Reherd. A musical program was given under the direction of Mrs. Reherd. Vocal selections were given by Mrs. Fred Barnes and Mrs. Hans Flo. Piano numbers were given by Miss -Katherine Bavies, and Mrs. English gave readings. Mrs. William McKirahan presided at the supper table, and was assisted by Miss Kuth Palmer, Miss Byle Wimmer, Miss Elizabeth Reherd, Miss Dorothy "Lootbourow. Punch was served by Mrs. William Campbell. One hundred and thirty guests were in attendance. Miss Myra Campbell entertained at a ditnierat the Conutry club last night. Miss Cameron .will entertain at dinner Saturday Satur-day night at the Country club in honor of her guest, Miss Marion Kron, of Pittsburg, Pitts-burg, Pa., who will arrive this evening, Misa Kron was a classmate of Miss Cameron Cam-eron at Smith college. Miss Fisher was a member of the graduating gradu-ating class of this year -at the University of Utah, and has. many friends In Salt B-ike. BieutenanT Maughan was graduated grad-uated from the Utah Agricultural college in 1917, and has since been connocted with the government air service. The couple will leave for New York August 21, where Bieutenant Maughan la stationed. Mr. and Mrs. T. Owings Sheckell have returned from spending a week, in Brighton, j j Mr. and Mrs. David B. Murdoch left l Monday for a six weeks' visit to their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Herman B. Clark, who are spending the summer in the Anirondaeks.
