RIFLE HONORS C.WDWELL, N. J., Aug. 33. The first stage of the free-for-all United States marine ma-rine corps rifle match for the Tn.irlne corps cup was won at the navy rifle range here today by Lieutenant B. S. James of the United States infantry with twenty consecutive ljullseyeg at 600 yards, tr a perfect score of 100. Competition at 1000 yards will bo held tomorrow. There are 616 entrants. The marine corps cup, purchased in 1009 with contributions from every officer . in the marine corps rolls, is valued at 2000.
