Show LOSSES BY THEFT AROUSE SHEEPMEN Special to The Tribune. PRICE, Sept. 9. Sheep stealing in this county reached large proportions this summer, and Sheriff T. F. Kelter recently began a vigorous search fpr the thieves. He obtained his fJrat evidence north of Sunnyside, where he found several small bunches of stolen sheep, alleged to have been stolen in the canyons and ravines In isolated districts. Later the work spread over the entire counts and sheep were brought In from the north and west portions of the county. Still later, Mike Grogas, Steve and Nick Kallas and Stafnnos Valerious were placed under arrest. The Kallas brothers broth-ers are still In jail, but the others are out on bond, and all are awaiting a preliminary pre-liminary hearing. French flockmasters, who are the biggest big-gest losers, say they are determined to put a stop to the stealing if there Is a way to do It. |
