Show JUNIOR ELEVEN BEflTSjElIS Two Snappy Grid Battles Played at East High; Frosh Blanked. Two hard-fought battles vere staged at the East high school yesterday afternoon, after-noon, when the second team of the junior ju-nior class came out victorious in a 12-to-0 game with their older classmen, and the sophomores followed the example set I'jr their first team the day before in de-I de-I feating the frosh, 38-0. Though the seniors played a hard game with heavy line bucking and good defense, de-fense, the juniors led with snappy team work and good open field running on the part of their back field. Taufer, the senior , captain, showed up well, and Callahan, Ensign and Robbins also did good work for the seniors. Smith, Harries, Baker and Martin of the junior back field displayed good team work, and White starred In the line. In the third quarter, a fumble by the senior quarterback on the junior's ten- yard line .was recovered by Baker, who j scored a touchdown for the juniors after running almost the entire length of the field. Welby Emms, an eighty-seven pound greenling, did exceptionally good work for his team, while Cady, Bagley, Caffey and Dailey starred for the sophomores. The lineups: Seniors (0). Juniors (12).
