Show FI AT FILER WELL ATTENDED Exhibits at Idaho County Exposition Better Than in Years. Special to The Tribune. TWIN FALLS, Idaho, Oct. 1. --.Unfavorable weather conditions did not militate mili-tate against the success of the opening day of the annual Twin Falls county fair, which began in Filer yesterday to continue con-tinue for four days. First-day attendance atten-dance records' were broken, fair officials declared. Practically all of the exhibits were in place, the only complaint being that the extra areas devoted this year to exhibits ex-hibits were Inadequate. Secretary J. jNI. Markel declared that the exhibit entries in all departments are of a considerably higher order than in the last three years. Yesterday the race traclc was given its first real test and proved to be unusually fast, horsemen being loud in its praise and declaring It to be the equal of any in the west. An airplane, brought here for the fair, also is proving a big attraction, and opportunities op-portunities to T;iake regular passenger flights are much sought. Today was Buhl day at the fair. |
