Show - PARDON APPLICATION UNDER ADVISEMENT Social o Tlie Tribune. BOLSl.:. dahu, Oct. 1. For the first time in the history of the present state pardon board. O. V. Alien, former state treasurer, serving a term in the penitentiary for embezzlement, em-bezzlement, has failed to apply for a parole or pardon. The board was in session ses-sion today with about thirty applications before it. Allen has repeatedly met discouragement dis-couragement when he applied. The board took under advisement the application for pardon of John T. Ray, convicted of unlawful possession of liquor in Lewis ton where Ray was formerly a druggist. Kay later moved to Astoria, Ore. "When he learned that the statt, supreme court had refused to reverse the Judgment, he returned to Lewis ton and began serving the thirty-day jail sentence imposed upon him. He also was fined $500. About thirty Lewi ton business men signed the petition asking for his release. |
