OFFERS COURSE IN AUTO MECHANICS Utah offers opportunities for tho training train-ing of auto mechanics that rival those of the bis auto trade schools of the oast and offer even superior cpportmiities for the study of farm tractors and their repair, according to Professor Kay R. "West, director di-rector of the school of agricultural engineering engi-neering at the Utah Agricultural college, who declares that the college possesses today the largest and best equipped laboratories labor-atories and shops ir; the west lor the study of the mechanical arts. At present the department of automobiles automo-biles and tractors is equipped to frain experts ex-perts in ignition and magnetos, acetylene welding, storage battery i epair work, starters and generators and tractor operation op-eration and repair. Special appliances for testing magnetos, reboring cylinders, grinding and : eseat-ing eseat-ing valves, charging and repairing batteries bat-teries and testing generators have been Installed. Twenty different types of tractors trac-tors are available at the college for study. The department has a large number of automobiles au-tomobiles for laboratory Avcrk, including the latest models in many prominent makes, and manv motor tru ks.
