Show Victory Won. Our dear America -has extended her hand To France, Belgium, Italy and England. The war was not won alone at the front; The people at home have helped bear the brunt. Thev responded bravely to the president's call To give their money, food, boys and all: And in every way possible they've tried to save. But i hey did it cheerfully, not as a slave. Then three cheers for the allies, Who've shown their power, And stood by each other In this last hour. United they fought in this one great cause; Now they're victorious, so all give applause ap-plause To the one great thought In each person's mind : "Twas kill off the kaiser and all of his kind. Each mother's heart ached when her boy said good -by. Bravely she kissed him without sob or cry. O the months of anxiety and the nights of suspense For the boys over there In the front-line trench ! But now they're coming home and the war is done; We've whipped t hem all. each beastly I Fun. And, while her heart aches, she will never regret That her boy gave his life to help pay the debt.
