Miss Jane Addams. foundress of Hull House at Chicago and author of many popular books on sociological subjects, arrived in Salt Lake yesterday aftemoun and will address the Bonneville club to-ni?ht. to-ni?ht. She is a guest at the Hotel Utah. Since the entrance of the United States into the European war, Miss Addams has devoted her abilities to assisting the administration ad-ministration in its successful prosecution oi the war. She hap been addressing assemblies as-semblies of every nature and description in many of the large cities of the I'nited States under the direction of the national na-tional -food administration. She came direct to Salt Lake from San Francisco. She delivered an address on the subject of the food situation at the University of California last Friday and the state teachers' federation at Oakland Oak-land on Thursday. Following her visit here, she will return re-turn to P:m Francisro and from tl-re will go to El Paso. San Antonio. New Orleans Or-leans and Birmingham, Ala., at ad of which places she will outline the policies? of the food administration. Miss Addams will speak here ton'trkt on the subject of '"The World's Food Supply and America's Obligation." It will be ladies' night at the BonneilIe meeting- tonight, which opens the regular season.
