Show RED CROSS REPORTS SUCCESSFUL MONTH Weber Chapter Sends Immense Amount of Clothing to Be jjistriouted Among Belgians. Special to The Tribune. OGDEX, March 31. The Weber chapter chap-ter of the American Red Cross has seen one of the best months in the history of the association, except at tlie time when some big drives for membership were being be-ing held. The receipts during the month wiil total more than $."00. This amount includes $i;hlo given by the Ogden high school student .body. The money receipts for the past month include the dance given by the degree team of lour lodges, benefits promoted by lodges, societies and individuals. During the "used -clothing" week 774!) pieces, making sixty-nine large dry goods boxes filled with clothing of every description de-scription for men, women and children, were collected and shipped to New York for transportation to France for Belgian refugees. From the hospital department of the Red Cross twenty -seven cases of bandages, garments and yarn garments have been shipped to the distributing station in New York. The Ogden high school is planning on another campaign to raise money for the local chapter. This will be in ' the sale of articles made by the girls in the domestic do-mestic arts department and the boys in tlie manual training department. This sa le will take place the latter part of Mav. Other organizations, schools and societies are planning various forms of sales and entertainments to swell the Red Gross fund during the next two mouths. |
