Show HEW LEAGUE CERTAIN TO BE ORGANIZED Baltimore, Toronto and Rochester Old Clubs to Remain Re-main in International. By International News Service. , NEW YORK, March 31. The new In- ternational league which was born last week after the vote to suspend operations opera-tions by the club owners of the old organization, or-ganization, will assume definite form next Wednesday. At that time a meeting of the four club owners who have been granted franchises in the new circuit will be held at the International league offices here. At present there seems to be plenty of material "for an eight-club organization, which will include the three clubs of the International league, Baltimore, Toronto and Rochester, the nucleus of the defunct de-funct New York State league, and Jersey City. Up to date there have been six applications ap-plications for membership received. The rejuvenation of the league is being hailed with delight by the baseball world. The debts of the . old International league will be paid, as well as th back salaries due players of the Buffalo team, according to an announcement made at the club headquarters here today. The league will go out of existence with no financial obligations which have not been met. Whatever funds may be left in the treasury after settling1 up the accounts of the old circuit, it is understood, will lie divided between the Providence. Montreal and Richmond clubs, which will not become members of the new league. |
