Show FOUR HOOP BATTLES AT LOGAATTHIS WEEK I Two Red Cross Benefit Games; "U" vs. B. Y. C. and A. C. Special to The Tribune. LOG AX, Feb. 26 Logan basketball fans wiil have cause to rejoice this week, as four first-class games will be played. Tomorrow night the business men on the north side of Center street will play the business men of the south side for the benefit of the Red Cross. Great interest. in-terest. Is being shown In the gajne and many old Aggie and B. Y. C. stars will be seen in the lineup. The South and North Cache high schools will meet in the second game tomorrow, which is also being played for the benefit of the Red Cross. Friday the B. Y. C. team will meet the University of Utah five. A close game is expected, as the B. Y. C. team is hard to beat on its own floor and has been going exceptionally strong In its last game or two. The Aggies bad a hard time beating the B. Y. C. eight points in the Aggie gym last week. Saturday night the Aggies will meet the university five in what promises to be the best game of the year. If the Aggies Ag-gies lose it will seriously hurt their chances for the championship. The largest larg-est crowd of the year is expected. The famous Be-Xo club of the A. C. will have charge of a large student body rally on Thursday. After their poor showing acninst the B. Y. C. the Aggies are beginning to realize that they will have to improve a great deal if they want to represent Utah at the championship games at Denver i next month. .Andy Mohr, the big Agsie ; guard, has been confined to his home with I a severe case of tonsiiitis, but is expected : to recover in time to get into a few prac-! prac-! tices before the "U" game. Lester ! Jarvis, the other guard, was able to play only half of the B. Y. C. game owing to an injury to Ms ler, but he Is expected to be well by Saturday. Sumsion had an off night against the B. Y. C. and cased , only one basket during t he whole game. His foul pi telling was also poor. Nielsen iet the B Y. C. center get the Jump on him almost every time and he was able to get only one bnsket. Spencer got six field baskets, but missed a dozen easy shots that he should have had. Coach Joe Jen?en Us worried over the showing his team made against the B. Y. C, but it !s the genera I opinion that the result of the game will wake the Aggies up to the fact that they are not unbeatable and make them get in and work. |
