Five men were named by the national industrial indus-trial conference board and five by the American Federation of Labor, and they, v.'ith the two representatives of the public, pub-lic, will compose a board of twelve. The selection of Mr. Taft. officials paid, would give prestige to the conference confer-ence and impivss on the public mind its importance. The labor representatives are expected to name a prominent man also. and tonight it was said that Associate Asso-ciate Justice Hrandeis of the supreme court might be asked to serve. Aside from th'? desire to formulate a government govern-ment labor policy, the chief aim of the ! conference is to' find a method of doing away with strikes which might hamper war production.
