Tne officers of the company had planned to sink a couple of hundred feel deeper, but tho heavy flow of water caused them to ffive up the work for the present. It ; is barely possible that no effort will be 1 made to prospect this particular part of tho company's ground until Jesse Knight's 1 drain tunnel can be driven in to that part of the district, lowering" the. water a few hundred feet. |
