Show Forty-three Fillies Are Entered in Kentucky Oaks Special to The Tribune. LOUIS'VILLE, Ky., March 10. Next in Importance to the coming Kentucky derby is the Kentucky Oaks for 3-year-old fillies, for which entries closed February 20 with an entry list of forty-three thoroughbreds. The list includes the best fillies quartered in the United States at the presept date. E. R. Bradley, the Chicago turfman, has en-r tered three, Blue Paradise being of his own breeding, while the other two are of' foreign breeding. Harry Payne Whitney of New York has nominated two. Rosie O'Grady. the star of his string last year and probable favorite for this event, will, be his main dependence, while the other, Bonnie Broom, a highly thought of YVhiskbroom IT, will be the second string j to his bow. Morton L. Schwartz, also of New York, entered three, the best of ! which on past performances is the im-j im-j ported filly. Enfilade. The others, Thistle I and Common Law, are both American j bred. Jefferson Livingston will be represented rep-resented by the imported filly Melus and the daughter of Tony Bonero-Busy Miss, Miss Bonero. George J. Long, the Louisville Louis-ville turfman, entered both his good fillies, fil-lies, Ocean Sweep, a stake winner of last year, and Amalita. considered more than a fair filly in her C-year-old form. T. C. McDowell of Lexington has nominated his two sterling fillies. Olive Wood and Plum, both of which performed in a high class manner as 2-year-olds, Olive Wood's performances per-formances being especially meritorious. J. K. L. Ross, the Canadian turfman, entered en-tered an imported filly named Althea. Johnson N. Camden of Versailles has Atalanta. the best performer in his barn in 1917. carded for a decision in the Oaks. Among others are Viva America, Violet Bonnie. Silk Lady. Rahu, Royal Ensign, which have been nominated by prominent owners for the blue rih'oon event in Kentucky. Ken-tucky.
