Show RED CROSS AUXILIARY SEEKS OLDMTIES Tlie Bed Cross auxiliary of the Fraternal Fra-ternal Order of Eagles makes the request re-quest that the public send old neckties to Eapjes' hall in order that they may be made into comforts to take the place of blankets in milityy hospitals. Much of the material in a worn Decktie can be. used in making the comforts, and the request states that blankets often' are too heavy tor the sick or wounded, and the comfort substitute has been deemed more desirable. Mrs. L-I. J. Harris is chairman of the auxiliary. Neckties may be left with H. S. McCami, secretary secre-tary of the local aerie, at the clubhouse, Fourth South and West Temple streets. Fourteen young women from toe City and County building donated their services serv-ices all Saturday afternoon at headquarters head-quarters working on the card indexing of members of the chapter, accomplishing accomplish-ing a much-appreciated volume ot work. Mrs. Q. B. Kelly, supervisor of the Bingham auxiliary of the Ked Cross, reported at headquarters Saturday that a citizen of the mining town was the owner of a hen that laid an egg measuring measur-ing eight and one-half inches lengthwise, length-wise, which tli e owner presented to the auxiliary. The giant egg was placed in a decorated basket, passed around through various dance halls of the city and raffled off at 10 cents a chance, netting the Eed Cross the neat sum of $22.50.
