Show ESTABLISH FUND TO SIIIELDJDEPENDENTS Concert Will Ie Given at Orphcum Tonight by Federation Eand. Foundation for an emergency fund to care for dependents of members of the organization or-ganization in the military service of the United States will be laid from proceeds of a pretentious concert to be given at the Orpheum theater tonight by the big band of Salt Lake Federated Musicians, local No. lu4. There are now twenty-seven Salt Lake musicians, members of the local union, in the service of the nation, and it is expected ex-pected that others will be called or will enlist soon. It is to start an emergency fund to care for dependents of these men at home, in case of necessity, that tonight's to-night's concert is being given. Manager Edward P. Levy of the Orpheum theater is giving free use of tho house for this patriotic purpose and the sixty musicians constituting the big band are giving their services without compensation. - The following fol-lowing named members of the musicians' union are at present in the service of the United States: James O. Maxey, George Klink, W. V. Done. Charles G. Billmeyer, Richard B. Wilson, Alma AlcClellan, Neil W. Mc-Eachern, Mc-Eachern, Harold Sharp, Keith Barnes, William Lym, Clarence J. Hawkins, Lester Les-ter Hinchcliff, I,on Reese, Henry K-llert-son, Vaughn Clayton, Clarence M. Burton, Bur-ton, John Visser, Lester Rigby, George A. Atkin, J. Fvard Welch, Morris K. Davis, Da-vis, Adolph Brox, Robert J. Morgan, Henry Ramos, Robin tielllck, Jlyrum Lammers. In addition to the band numbers to be given at the concert tonight. Miss Genevieve Gene-vieve Mai one will play a violin solo, with piano accompaniment by Miss Loretta Malone. "The Ariel quartette, consisting consist-ing of Averon Poulton, Arnold Poulton, Alvin Keddington and John Bull, will sing a number. Compositions to be played by the big military band of sixty instruments will be "Polonaise Militalre." Chopin: "Maximilian "Maximil-ian Robespierre" overture, Litolff; "Moorish "Moor-ish SHiite," Chapi; "Sheridan's Ride," scene historical, Sousa; "Poeme Sympho-nique," Sympho-nique," whimsical, Saint-Saens; Suite , from "Ballet Symphonique," Chaminade; grand march, "American Republic," Thiele. |
