Show GOES EAST TO HELP IKE ME M. Browning on Way to Hartford, Conn., for War Work. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, March 10. M. S. Browning, brother of John M. Browning, the inventor in-ventor of the famous Browning machine guns which have been adopted by the United States army, left this afternoon for Hartford, Conn., where he will join the inventor now at the Colt gun works, overseeing the manufacture of the rapid-fire rapid-fire guns for the army. Mr. Browning said before leaving the city that he expects to remain for two weeks at the gun factory. He said that , they have every assurance the factories vill be able to turn out the two machine i guns at such a rapid rate as will meet the demands of the government. Mr. Browning said the two guns, the lighter one being air-cooled and the heavier one water-cooled, had 'responded to every ricid test made by the examining board of the government. Mr. Browning is a member of tho war loan ( committee for Utah. He expects to return to Ogden in time to help in the big drive for the third Liberty loan. |
