Show "AL" G. HARRIS IS CALLED BY DEATH Weber County Tax Collector Succumbs to an Attack of Heart Failure. Special to The Tribune. OGUEX, Dec. li. '-'Al" G. Harris, widely known tax collector of Weber county, died this morning at 1:30 o'clock at his home, 2342 Adams avenue, ave-nue, of heart failure. Mr. Harris was taken seriously ill at 4 o'clock yesterday and his condition rapidly declined. Albert Earl Harris, his son, was about to board the train at Salt Lake for Vancouver Barracks, Wash., as an enlisted en-listed man of the aviation section of the signal corps, when a message that his father was critically ill reached him. Ho secured his- release and returned re-turned to Ogden. The deceased was born in Paints-ville, Paints-ville, K.V., August 26. 1S50, and came to Ogden with'his mother, four brothers and two sisters, forty-five years ago. He is the last of this family. Mr. Harris was personally acquainted with practically every resilient of Weber county. He is survived by his wife, Alice" Watts Harris, and son,. Albert Earl Harris. Tbe funeral will be held Sunday at 2 o'clock in the home with Bishop Owen M. Sanderson of the Sixth ward officiating. Interment will be in the Ogden city cemetery. |
