Show OGDEN ARRANGING FOR BOND SALES Heads of Big Institutions Co-operating in Liberty Loan Campaign in Junction City. Speeial to The Tribune. OC.DEN. May 28. The head of even' business institution in Ogden will be canvassed can-vassed by a committee of bankers in the interest of the Liberty loan ramnaign in this city, according- to tentative plans which were mapped out at a meeting of the Os"den Clearing House association irt the Weber club late this afternoon. There will be seven committees, each representing represent-ing an Ogden hank, and the heads of business institutions will be. urged to aid their employees in the purchase of war bonds. Committees in charge are: R. A. Moyes, cashier of the Commercial National bank, chairman; A. G. Fell and 1 Leroy Buchmiller. Ralph Hoag, vice president and general gen-eral manager of the Utah National bank, chairman; Joseph Scowcroft and V. H. Wattis. Charles H. Barton, cashier of the Ogden Pavings bank, chairman; John Watson and A. T. Wright. W. H. Shearman, vice president of the Security State bank, chairman; Chapin A. Day and C. C. Richards. James F. Burton, cashier of the First National hank, chairman ; R, B. Porter and l R. Ecoles. A. P. Bigelow. cashier of the Ogden State bank, chairman; H. M. Rowe and John Spargo. James Pingree, president of the Pin-gree Pin-gree National bank, chairman; J. W. Abbott Ab-bott and J. IT. F. Last. It was announced by R. A. Moyes, sec- retary of the association, that the organ-: organ-: izalion would hold daily meetings, if necessary, nec-essary, to carry oit the plans for the ; 1 yibertv loan campaign. It is estimated 1 that approximately $ .000,000 is Ogden"s proportion of the $6,500,000 worth of war bonds which should be disposed of in the state. The association members today decided to leave to Mayor A. R. Hey wood the mat ter of arranging for the meeting at which Newel Dwight Hillis and Lawrence Chamberlain will speak in the interest of the loan. The two prominent men will visit Ogden on June 5. The meeting will be held in one of the largest halls in. the oily. |
