Show FINDS LIQUOR IS SHORT IN MEASURE State Dairy and Food Commissioner Recommends Confiscation of Big Consignment. Confiscation by the federal government govern-ment of 250 cases of whisky stored in a local warehouse, because of short content, con-tent, has been recommended by Heber C. Smith, state dairy and food commissioner, commis-sioner, and A. 8. Dagget of Denver, federal food and drug inspector. Samples of tho whiskv are being prepared pre-pared for shipment to tlie laboratory of the United States department of agriculture agri-culture at Denver. No information as to the location of the "whisky was given out by the officers, but it was asserted assert-ed that the shipment came from Louisville, Louis-ville, Ky. Owing, to the irregularity of the capacity ca-pacity of the containers the officers are of the opinion that the shipment "was sent by persons under the impression that prohibition was effective in Utah and that the consignee would be in no position to obtain reparation. Further action in the case will be withheld until the return to the city of W. W. Ray, United States district attorney. |
