In 1 SS7 he accepted a position in this city as joint ticket agent for what was then the Central Pacific Denver & Rio Grande Western, Union Pacific and Oregon Short Line railroads. rail-roads. Throughout the important changes in these lines Mr. Henry remained at his original post as joint ticket agent, and was one of the few men who had a personal per-sonal knowledge of the developments marking railroad progress in the west. I p until his recent sickness he was able to give his personal attention to ttie duties of his office and for the past several years he had also served as treasurer of the Ogden Union Railway & Depot company, com-pany, which position he also held at the time of his death. In addition to his duties In railroad work. Mr. Henry found time to interest ITimself In civic and fraternal affairs of the city. He was a charter member of the "Weber club, serving that organization in various capacities during his long residence resi-dence in OgdenT He was also a member of the Ocden lodge ,'o. 719, B. P. O. Elks and Weber lodge No. 6, F. and A. M. Besides the widow in this city, Mr. Henry-is Henry-is survived bv two brothers, George F. and Howard Henry, residing in Des Moines, Iowa. The funeral will be conducted under the auspices of the Weher lodge of. Masons Ma-sons with services In the Masonic temple tem-ple at 2.30 o'clock Friday afternoon. Members Mem-bers of the Elks' lodge and officers of the Ogden Union Railwav & Depot company ' will attend In a body. Interment will be made in the Ogden City cemetery. |
