Borman, in charge of the dairy division of tbe department of agriculture, with headquarters in tills city, the board of health of Portland has made advances to have his office transferred to that city. The advances have been made to Mr. Dorman, but he has referred the board to the officials in Washington, In sole charge of the question as to where headquarters may be located. The matter was brought to the attention atten-tion of F. C. Richmond, president of the Commercial club, yesterday and tbe question ques-tion will be referred to J. David Larson, secretary of the club, who will reach Salt Lake today after an extended tour along the coast. It has been proven that the headquarters headquar-ters of the dairy division in the f federal build in sr has been far too inadequate, and. while Mr.- Dorman is not in favor of having his office transferred to more commodious com-modious quarters in another city, he states that for the good of the sendee better accommodations should be provided somewhere for the service. |
