Mrs. Pearl Jones alleges that her husband, hus-band, Thomas L. Jones, wad unkind, as does also Mrs. Eva Stuart Gregory concerning con-cerning the behavior of Archie G. Gregory, Greg-ory, s The husband who told In a complaint filed of alleged cruel behavior on the part of his wife was Paul Valtlnke, and the woman who has wrecked Ills nerves, he says, is Mrs. Margaret Valtinke. The husband alleges that his wife has for some years past upbraided him with the fact that he was unable to support her In luxury. He complains that she has repeatedly bewailed the fact that she did not marry one of several other men whom she would name to him, saying that if she had done so she would be free from scrubbing1, washing dishes, sweeping and doing other housework, and that she would have been able to live in luxurious apartments. He alleges that as a final unkindness she has circulated a story to the effect that he is of unbalanced mind. The Prussian battle spirit promises to be exemplified in the contested divorce suit of Mrs. Elizabeth Schinskee against Julius. Schinskee, now on trial before Judge P. C. Evans of the Third district court. The two were married In West Prussia twenty-six years since. Mrs. Schinskee now testifies that her husband has not for some years past given her sufficient money for her support, though he makes good wages as a blacksmith. She was subjected to a grilling cross-examination yesterday afternoon by Attorney J. R. Haas, counsel for the defendant, who is asking for a divorce on a cross-complaint. She testified that she had been forced to conduct boarding houses for a living, finally failing financially In the effort to operate one in Manti. |
