Show DETECTIVE STORY PICTURED Thrilling Film, "The Fugitive," Fugi-tive," Heads Photoplay Eill at Orpheum. A THRILLING detective story with a woman as the fugitive, a girl who confesses to a murder she did not commit, com-mit, in order to save her guilty sister, and a man who admits the same crime to save the woman he loves form the basis for the plot of "The Fugitive." which is the headliner of the Orpheum theater photoplay bill. The picture deals with the inner workings of the New York City police department and casts a new light on that fascinating organization. One of the big scenes of the film shows a factory tire and the ensuing panic, the work of "the players being far better than is usual in such characterizations. Beautiful Beau-tiful Florence La Badie has the leading role of the production, and she is most ably supported by George Mario, Ethel Cook, Robert Vaughn and Hector Dion. The supplementary features of the Pathe programme are Pearl White in the 6erial of. American underground diplomacy, diplo-macy, "Pearl of the Army," and this chapter, the seventh, has the usual quota of thrills so dear to the heart of the serial followers; the Hearst-Pathe News, with a score of timely animated events, and a Lonesome Luke comedy which is good enough to make the audience roar with laughter. For the new vaudeville show which opens on Wednesday evening the Orpheum Or-pheum announces Ivan Bankoff and Lola Girlie, with Madeleine Harrison and a corps de ballet, comprising ten pretty and shapely girls, as the headliner. The featured fea-tured attraction will be Anna Chandler in a study in song, entitled "The Debutante." Debu-tante." On the bill will also he seen the Miniature Revue, a marvel of mechanical ingenuity, with the world's series baseball base-ball games as a special feature; George Fisher and company in a comedy siteten entitled "The Partners" ; Rena Parker, , vaudeville's prettiest comedienne, in a new list of chic songs; Bill Pruitt, Montana's Mon-tana's singing cowboy; Mario and Duffy in new and original acrobatics, and the , Hearst-Pathe News. As a superlative feature for next Sunday, Sun-day, Monday and Tuesday, the Orpheum announces the extraordinary spectacular feature film, "Civilization," produced by Thomas Ince. For that occasion the Pathe programme will be omitted. A special augmented orchestra, with a I chorus and organ, will aid in the inter- pretation of the production. DRAMA AND VAUDEVILLE.
