Idaho, will harbor a deep-seated grudgo against the narrowness of seats in a Twenty-seventh street car when he is arraigned tomorrow morning on a charge of carrying concealed weapons. Dowdell was arrested last night bv Patrolman W. Jj. Moore. When he boarded the car. with a companion, com-panion, Dowdell took the aisle end of the seat, and it proved so narrow that a portion por-tion of his anatomy, togeiher with a hip pocket, protruded into the aisle space. A few blocks further along Patrolman Moore boarded the same var on his way to police po-lice headquarters and his eagle, eye a ught sight of the ha ndle of a heavy pistol protruding out of Dowd ell's hip pocket. After firmly removing the weapon, the officer placed Dowdell under arrest for carrying concealed weapons. At police headquarters it was found that i he pistol, a .;;S-calibcr weapon, was fully loaded. |
