Show WANTED TO PERISH WITH THE CAVALRY COLORS ON BREAST YUMA, Ariz.. Jan. 21. Lieutenant Colonel Harry G. Bishop arrived here today to-day and was taken to a' hospital, where he will remain until he gainst sufficient strength for the trip to his station at San Diego. He improved rapidly in strength and spirits after his arrival. Lieutenant Colonel Bishop watched anxiously as the hospital attendants removed re-moved from a pocket orriis uniform coat a bunch of half dried wild flowers. "Don't throw those away, please," he said. "They're the cavalry yellow. I picked them when Robertson left me. I wanted to die, if I had to, with the colors on." Lieutenant Colonel Bishop's first years of service were with the cavalry, although he was transferred later to the field artillery ar-tillery and then assigned to the aviation corps. , |
