Show Till COMCTOR FOUL PLAY VICTIM; - j Body of Arthur B. Sim Is Found Under Viaduct at Kansas City. The body of Arthur B. Sim. wealthy contractor, prominent in business and society so-ciety in Salt Lake last winter, was found i badly mutilated under a viaduct In Kansas Kan-sas City December 19. according to advices ad-vices received yesterday. The advices stated that the man evidently had been murdered and thrown from the viaduct. When the body was discovered by switchmen the face on one side was crushed and th e ri gh t arm was brok e u . The body was nearly buried in cinders. t A fow hours after the body was found it was identified as that of Mr. Sim, who had been living in Wichita, Kan., and was secretary of the Goldemod Oil & Gas company. Last winter Mr. Sim and his wife, Mrs. Helen Sim. were prominent in society circles in this city. Mr. Sim was interested inter-ested in the contracting company of Heiaer & Sim. with headquarters in Salt Lake. The company did extensive railroad rail-road wot k in the southern part of Salt Lake county. Mr: and Mrs. Sim resided at the Windsor hotel. A clue has been discovered by the Kansas Kan-sas City police that may solve the mystery. mys-tery. An automobile was seen speeding along the viaduct between 1 and 2 o'clock on the morning the body was found. The machine contained two men and a woman. It sped past the tollkeepers. Bruises on the head of the man Indicated Indi-cated that he had been struck with a blackjack or with the butt of a revolver. Everything of value was gone from Mr. Sim's pockets except a fraternity pin and a watch chain. A locket attached to the watch chain was not taken. It contained con-tained tiny photographs of Mr. sira and his wife. Mr. and Mrs. Sim had been separated for some months, the advices stated. |
