Show COAL SHORTAGE AT PARK CITY ACUTE Special to The Tribune. PARK CITY, Dec. 26. The coal shortage here is still unrelieved. At present there are just three cars, or ninety tons, of coal held by dealers to supply the wants of 4500 persons. The mines likewise are practically out of coal. Xo estimate has been made of coal held by consumers, but from the demands made upon the dealers it is evident that the coal now held in reserve would be gone in a few hours if thrown on the market. The dealers are refusing, however to sell except ex-cept for household purposes. The Union Pacific railroad is doing Its utmost to relieve the threatened famine, but there is no assurance as to when any coal will reach here. |
