Show Seventeen Inches of Snow. BISMARCK. N. D., Dec. 26. One of the worst blizzards in North Dakota's history gripped the central part of the state today with a snowfall of seventeen inches in twenty-four hours, breaking the record of the fail during the great blizzard twenty twen-ty years ago last November. A train on a branch of the Minneapolis, St. Paul & Sault Ste. Marie railroad, due here at 5:50 p. m. yesterday, is snowbound at Wans-burn, Wans-burn, while two snow plows are fighting to release it. All trains on the branch were suspended temporarily. In the wake of the Sfi-mile gale carrying the blizzard is a zero wave. Warnings have been sent -to stockmen and farmers. |
