Th e case of Eben J. Gregory of Salt Lake, on trial for his life for the, killing of John Brennan, was resumed today before Superior Su-perior Judge Paul J. McCormick. It Is expected that Attorneys Rogers and Glesler for the defense would produce wttnepses following the testimony fnr the prosecution that the killing was done in self-defense. They will testify, it Is understood, that PremiHn was armed with a monkey wrench when hf was killed, and that Gregory was seeking to defend himself, Brennan was killed following a quarrel with Greeoi-y over the disappearance of some linen in the apartment house nf Mrs. Gregory, at 443 South Flower street. Deput v District A ttornevs Shelley and Selph will attempt to nhnw that the killing kill-ing was deliherate and that Brennan was defenseless whn shot. |
