Show Mm will START THIS Mi Twelve . to 18 Automobiles to Make Trip to Fertile Basin. WILL GATHER AT SIX Start Will Be Made From Commercial Club Half Hour Later. This evening will see the departure of the Commercial club 's ' 1 get acquainted"' ac-quainted"' and trade-annexation excursion excur-sion to the fertile and energetic Uinta basin of Utah. The excursionists will meet at the Commercial club at 6 o'clock, and at 6':30 the automobiles in which they will travel will whirl out of Exchange place on the first lap of the journey. Tonight the excursionists will stop at Bfovo. Indications are that from twelve to eighteen automobiles, each laden to capacity with the Commercial club men, will set out ou the Uinta t rial. The profession will be headed .by President George A. Steiner of the club in Mr. Steiner 's car. With Mr. Steiner also will be S. H. Clay, secretary of the club, and F. A. Pyke, chairman of the commerce committee, which has charge of the junket. Gala Time Ahead. Those going on the trip are advised by the committee to take heavy wraps to protect them from chilly breezes while riding. They ueed not worry about blankets and other paraphernalia like that, however since the itinerary las been carefully made out with ret -orenee to night stops, and the people of the Uinta country are going to take good care of their guests. A gala time is, in fact, ahead of those who start wilh the autoists this evening. even-ing. Trout dinners, banquets, lunch-eons lunch-eons and other functions have been arranged. ar-ranged. The Uinta basin people are going to ehow the Salt Lake business men a good t ime. A. L. Mr. Carey v. as assured that it had not. Dinner at Fruitland. The dinner at Kruitland will take place Monday. Monday night the party is scheduled to remain at Duchesne. During the week the important Uinta basin cities nf Vernal, Roosevelt and Mvton will be isited, the excursionists participating in the t'inta basin fair at Mvton on Thursday Keber City and Park City will be visited on the return trip. The excursionists are due- back in the city next Saturdav afternoon. There will be no ceremonial or demonstration dem-onstration attending the departure of the excursionists this evening. The expedition ex-pedition is not designed primarily as a bolidav making trip, the real purpose of it being to get in closer business and social touch with the Uinta basin. It is said that the Colorado people have been casting sheep's eyes at the com merce of the Uinta country, and this week's excursion will be by thp way of reminding the UiutH citizens of their home ties, and that Salt Lako City is much interested iu them. |
