Detroit gained a full game on Boston, the league leaders, lead-ers, today when It won again from New York, 4 to 2, while Chicago was defeating defeat-ing Boston. Detroit made a clean sweep of the series of four games and vanquished van-quished New York on the year's games, seventeen games to five. The Tigers won the game in the third , inning, when they collected three runs on Caldwell on two passes and three singles.
