Show IDAHO TECH ADVANCES. Academy Is Made Junior College, With Additional Teacher. POCATELLO, Idaho. Sept. 15. The Idaho Technical institute, formerly the Academy of Idaho, will be a junior college col-lege from this year on and will have much new equipment and about ten new teachers, I The department of agriculture, under the dlrecl ion of Dr. M. C. Merrill, has been reorganized and the catalogue announcing an-nouncing the new course of study is now complete. Professor Norman B. Adkinaon arrived in the city today and will superintend the installation of some new laboratory equipment equip-ment for the opening, which will 'be September Sep-tember 22. A. C. Cough, head of the department of industrial arts and mechanics, has just finished the Installation of considerable new equipment and has his course outlined. out-lined. Dr. Wood of the department of physics and mathematics is in the city and has prepaired his courses. R. H. Bronson. who Is the new director di-rector of athletics, arrived In the city todav and will soon have a squad of men out on tlic field giving them tryouts. The Idaho Tech took the championship In football last year and. with the same team and other recruits, should make an-other an-other winning team. Ii is planned that games will be held with the Khiverslty of Utah and the B. Y. U. the coming year. |
