Since the publication in The Tribune on Friday morning of a little yarn about the proposed organization of ft kennel club, many inquiries have been received concerning the details of the project. Those inquiries are evidence of an awakening interest in dog duins in Salt Lake, and indications are that the new kennel club will start oif under auspicious circumstance?. There are in Salt Lake at leat 200 thoroughbred dogs, some enthusiasts say there are more. Possibly there a:e. but even 2uQ is no pmall number of bred-in-rbe-purplcs. No doubt t-verv one of those thoroughbreds will be sent to the bench in October, when it is proposed to hold a show. Meantime tho work of potting ready for the Kennel club 'n organization frees on. More names are added to the -membership rolls evciv day, and it is hoped that nt least l'n will sin. before the first meeting is held. The club will probably be incorporated incorporat-ed and n full corps of officers will be chosen. It is hoped to have affairs in ?haoe for a meeting within two week 9.
