Show COilSIl MAKES TWO MIIEIIS W. D. Pinney and F. D. Winegar Are New Inspectors. On recommendation of Heber M. Wells, park commissioner, "W. D. Pinney Pin-ney and P. D. Winegar were appointed building inspector and electrical inspector, in-spector, respectively, in the bureau of mechanical inspection, at last night's meeting of the city commission. Mr. Pinney,' who is a general builder and contractor, succeeds Emil S. Lund. Mr. Winegar succeeds himself. !So appointment for plumbing inspector in-spector was submitted. John W. Dudley Dud-ley was scheduled for the appointment and has the indorsement of the master plumbers' association, but it is understood under-stood that J. B. Iiowels, present deputy inspector, is being considered for the position. Pending completion of the bureau organization a resolution w-as adopted re-engaging L. G. Christeusen as assistant as-sistant electrical inspector,, and Mrs. Edna Ulhe as stenographer in the electrical elec-trical and building inspection departments. depart-ments. The same resolution terminated the employment of Frank Glenn and W. L. Ludwig as smoke inspectors. It also continues the employment of all persons now employed in the four inspection in-spection departments that are now being be-ing combined, pending final action on the appointments. George W. Snow, chief of the bureau, submitted a recommendation last night for an increase in the appropriation for the bureau from $11,014 to $12,054, in order to provide for necessary expenses ex-penses such as transportation. Commissioners Commis-sioners Lawrence and Shearman opposed op-posed the recommendation and the matter mat-ter was referred to the committee of the whole. |
