The standard grade upon which crop conditions are based is 100, and winter wheat, scored 101, oats 100, rye 102, peaches 98, and sugar beets 9U. Barley is graded at 99. No state excels this grade and but two, Idaho and Montana, equal it. Apples made a grade of 98, and this is equaled by only Maine and Wyoming. Pears scored 89. This is e'xcelled by no other state and is equaled by only Maine, Montana and Colorado. |
