BLUE LAKES RISING. Irrigation Seepage the Cause; Outlet Canal Is Constructed. Special to The Tribune. TWIN FALLS, Dec. 4. -So rapidly is the volume of water Increasing in the famous fa-mous TJluo lakes that a canal eight feet wide and nearly half a mile long Is being constructed to carry off tho water. The Blue lakes are situated on I. J3. Ferrino's ranch in tho Snake Ulver canvon, about three miles north of this city. The normal depth of the lakes out a short distance from tho shore is about forty feel. The water has risen from three to live feel since last summer and Is beginning to Hood a portion of the upper up-per orchards. The' cause of this change Is attributed to seepage, from the canals and ditches on the North Side Twin Falls tract. From the road winding far up the grade above the lakes the big trout may bo seen distinctly playing In the clear blue depths.
