S. .Tudgo Walter II, Sanborn or tho United Statos circuit court today accepted tho resignation of Thomas II. West as receiver of tho St. Louis & San Francisco railroad. JIr. West was ono of the syndicato of nincty-nino that promoted tho Browns-villo Browns-villo road aud sold it lo tho 'Frisco. Tho resignation of Mr. West was written December 3. Mr. West, in his letter of resignation, invites a i'ull and free inquiry into tho affairs of tho railroad. rail-road. Judge Sanborn, in his letter accepting accept-ing the resignation, said transactions of the railroad and somo of those associated asso-ciated with it beforo tho rocoivorship mav prosent grave questions in the future fu-ture administration of tho property which could be better met by a receiver "without previous knowledge of thorn.' 1 . x , , Judge Sanborn appointed James W. Lusk. an attorney of St. Paul to succeed suc-ceed Mr. West as receiver. The other two receivers are W. B. Biddlo and W. C. Nixon, both of St. Louis and in charge, respectively of the traffic aud operation departments of the road. |
