Show RESTAURANT MAN IS SUMMONED TO COURT Judge Wants to Know Why Girl Who Prosecuted Man Who Insulted Hor Was Discharged. ST. LOUIS, Dec. 8. Judge Kimmel of tho municipal court today summoned Harry Sine, manager of a chain of restaurants nero, to come into court and explain why he discharged Miss Minnie Lanchen, who was cashier in one of tho restaurants. Miss Lanchen had prosecuted J. L, Walters for sending her an insulting note. The manager of the restaurant whore sho worked had explained to tho judge that the prosecution brought notoriety no-toriety to the restaurant, and that, he had been ordered by his superiors to discharge the young woman. For this reason the general manager waB summoned sum-moned into court. "I am indignant to find that' a young woman should lose her position bocauso sho perfonnod the public service of prosecuting a man who wrote her a vilo note," said 'the judge. "Sho was not only protecting her own womanhood, but that of other young women." |
