Show Willard Brevities. Special lo The Tribune. WILLARD. March 31. John Barker of this placo died at his home hero yesterday. The cause of death was old age and general gen-eral debility. He was tho oldest person of this place, being eighly-slx years old. Mr. Barker had been conllncd lo his bed for the past monlh and had been unable to get out of the house for about a year. He was one of Wlllard's earliest settlers, and'had lived hero tho greater part of his life. His wifo died about fifteen years ago. Funeral services have not been arranged ar-ranged as yet. ! Job PIngree of tho Utah-Idaho Sugar company was hero again yesterday to contract con-tract for beets, but was Unable to get nnv ono to contract, as tho company has no't changed tho contract as It promised to do. The people aro holding out for 50 cents a ton more. A big party was given last night under the direction of the Y. L. and Y. M. M. I. V. C. Abbot, claim agent of the O, S. L., Is spending a few days here on business W. Thyrston of Ogden Is spending a few days here on business. |
