Show FUNERAL HONORS FOR REAR-ADMIRAL CONVERSE WASHINGTON, March :U. Willi all the picturesque features of a military funeral, tho last sad rites over the body of the late Rear Admiral George Alber.b Converse, t. S. N., were performed to- jH day from St. John's Protestant Kpisco pal church. The Rev. Rolland Cotton smith, conducting a military escort con-sisting con-sisting of four companies of marinon nnd two companies of bluejackets, headed by tho Marino band aud under JM command' of Rear Admiral W. W. Kim-ball, Kim-ball, accompanied tho body to Arling- jH ton for interment. Tho honorary poll-bearers poll-bearers were: Rear Admirals Spcrry, Stockton, Lutz, Cowles. Pillsbury. Ma-son Ma-son and Colvercress, Chief Constructor Capps, Pay Director Spool and Captain Usher. |
