One of the biggest deals that has cecti made hi Salt Lake City for some time was consummated Friday afternoon, when four-fifths of the stock of the Utah Vehicle-Implement company was acquired by David Eeclcs and M. S. Browning of Ogden. This four-fifths Interest was purchased from J. C CJroendyko of Chicago. Chi-cago. While the amount Involved in the deal is not officially given out, It Is understood un-derstood that the entire capital stock is worth S2n0.000. Under the reorganisation the following-named' following-named' gentlemen are directors: M. S. Browning, David Eeclcs, .lohn Q. Crllch-low. Crllch-low. W. S. McCornlck, A. B. Irclne. IMessrs. Browning and EccIch succeed Elmer El-mer B. Jones and J. C. Groondyke. The fact that Mr. Browning Is prominently promi-nently connected Willi the Burton Implement Imple-ment company of Ogdeti. coupled with current rumors, lends color to the belief that an early consolidation will be effected" ef-fected" between these two large business concerns, while perhaps other Implement houses in Utah and Idaho will be included, in-cluded, thus making the new concern the second In sr.c and importance in the West. This big deal has been pending for some time, and was brought to a consummation con-summation through negotiations conducted con-ducted by .John Q. Critchlow. George A. Snow of Chicago, who was for muny years lis the implement business In this city, and who Is at present viee-prcsidont and a-director of the Utah Gas and Coke company, also had a hand in the negotiations. |
