Show BILLIARD CHAMPIONS WILL MEET APRIL 28 Tribune Special Sporting Service. NEW YORK, April 1J. Details of the .international amateur billiard championship tournament have been definitely settled at a moeting of tho committeo in charge, held at the Liedor-' kranz club. Lucien do Rolle, the great French amateur, representing ' the Fronch federation, will bo in all prob-nbilit.y prob-nbilit.y the ouly foreign competitor. The tournament will begin on April 28 in the concert hall of the club. Efforts are being made by the officers of the National AssociaXion of Amateur Billiard Bil-liard players which may result in another an-other forcigu entry before the date of closing, which has boon set for April 14. It is certain at this time that at least four of the top-class Americans, including Calvin Dcmarest, the amateur champion, and Charles F. Conklin, both of Chicago; Edward W. Gardner of I Passiac, N. .T., and J, Ferdinand Pog-genburg Pog-genburg of this city will represent this country. Wilson P. Foss nmy also play. Each match will be at, 1S.2 balkline. 400 points up. |
