Another surprise party, given during tho week, was at tbo home of Otto G. Olsen, Monday night, in honor of tho fiftieth birthday anniversary of Mrs. Olsen. During the eveniug an impromtu programme was carried out. C. J. Christensen was called ou to mako a short speech and ho presontcd Mrs. Olson with a beautiful set of silverware, silver-ware, the gift of her friends. An elaborate lunch was served. Mrs. T. A. Saturday Satur-day evening the officers of tho two miiluals entertained the officers of the associations of the various wards ; throughout Bnxclder stake. The social I was held in the opora house and about ' 300 people participated. Refreshments ! w.cre served on trays, each guest receiving re-ceiving a tray, upon which were sandwiches, sand-wiches, cake, cross salad and valentine valen-tine ice cream. Lemonade nlso was served. A spleudid programme was rendered, ren-dered, after which dancing was in- I dulgod iu until a lato hour. Ono of the most successful and enjoyable en-joyable socials of the season was tho one held iu the Fourth ward a few days ago. The feast and social were in commemoration of tho completion of the meeting house in that ward. A nice programme was carried out and a most excellent dinner was served, which was prepared under tho personal supervision su-pervision of Mesdamcs Serena Hansen and H. J.
