That tho Berkln race track measure which would permit of thirty days' racing in counties of tho first class will pass seems almost certain, aay those who favor tho bill, a compromise having been effected. Just what the compromise Is has not been announced, but it Is declared de-clared tho bill will be slightly amended to meet tho sentiment of the merchants of Butte, and It will bo passed If such is tho easo, as it Is so drawn as not to affect af-fect other portions of the stato. Tho cigarette bill will bo passed during the week.
